TRIO
The Trio Ecoensemble is one of the few European ensembles that which wholly dedicates itself to the study and interpretation of flute, oboe and piano repertoire.
The group has dedicated particular attention to the research and the study of the original repertoire for this kind of ensemble, which during Twentieth Century when the composers widened their scope in the search for original sonorities. It isn’t a wide repertoire, but it represents a wide variety of tendencies and styles from the Twentieth Century.
The greater numbers of the compositions of this kind of ensemble is really an “unicum” in the list of the author.
Besides the original repertoire you can find a significant numbers of transcriptions of classical and modern pieces and also fantasias on operas and orchestral works which are often brilliant and virtuosistic.
The Trio Ecoensemble is dedicated to enlarging its repertoire, commissioning original works and transcriptions following the tradition of chamber ensembles which study “minor” repertoires and trying to capture the attention of contemporary composers for minority interest groups ensembles.
The revision of the text alongside the composer and the care for detail in the draft of the first performance is very important for an ensemble that works exclusively on such a specific repertoire with peculiar problems of tone- colours and balancing of the parts.
The Trio Ecoensemble has been working for many years and it released a CD in 2004 with Eurarte, entirely composed of original works for the flute, the oboe, the piano, all of them rarely performed and, some recorded for the first time.
Specialized critics have welcomed the CD appreciating the thorough research of the texts and fidelity to the original, together with the brilliance of the performance.
